Communication

What do you expect to learn from this pod-casting project?
  • Being able to speak in Japanese more fluidly and with a stronger sense of coherency so that others (who will be watching our podcast) will be able to understand us.
  • Learn how to work in a team more effectively - being able to accomplish individual goals while working within a group setting towards a common purpose.
  • Time management - it is a considerably large and comprehensive project, so it makes sense that each team will have to work within a budgeted set of time (and learn how to improvise if necessary).
  • Learning how to carefully craft and convey a message to a general audience.
What does communication mean to you?
In literal terms, communication is the exchanging of thoughts and ideas. However, that definition does not take into consideration a lot of factors such as time, individualism, efficiency - it is a concept that is much more complicated in its application. To me, communication in a group setting means being able to balance both the needs and goals of the individual with the needs and goals of the entire group. If you work steadily towards a purpose while taking into consideration what means will be both effective and efficient in order to reach this goal, everything will work out. Communication is both being able to learn from others and being able to learn from one's self.
